Using only domestic measures, Singapore is unable to reach zero emissions in the modelled sectors; Singapore can only mitigate 3.03 MtCO2e/year compared to current energy mix.
Singapore is able to reach zero emissions in modelled sectors with international collaboration through green electricity imports, coupled with storage (battery and ammonia) installed in Singapore and other countries in these collaborations.
Average additional costs of achieving zero emissions in the modelled sectors for collaborative scenarios tested here range from USD 7.80 to USD 23.0 /tCO2e.
