Unlock Mitigation Potential Through Collective Action.

The Global Mitigation Potential Atlas (GMPA) is a decision-support platform that quantifies how much emissions can be reduced in each country at different costs. By integrating data across countries and sectors, GMPA highlights opportunities for cost-effective mitigation and demonstrates how international collaboration can unlock additional strategies that reduce both costs and emissions while meeting energy needs. GMPA provides policymakers with the evidence base to prioritize actions, mobilize resources, and accelerate collective progress towards global climate goals.

Our Partners’ Testimonies

Our partners are putting GMPA to work around the world. In their own words, they share how the Atlas is helping them uncover new strategies, cut emissions, and make smarter, faster climate decisions. Their stories show the real impact of working together to unlock global climate potential.

We are already in discussion, for instance with the government of Singapore about potential peer exchange in this coming year. But again, I can this is a really valuable tool for us in supporting that. This type of tool that helps to illustrate the examples is just exactly where we need to be.

And with this atlas it's a template and it's a basis on how all these players can come and plig and play together to address this existential problem that is facing us.

Very good examples of tools that are needed by national governments in order to determine what kind of action they need to take in the future.

"We have all the instruments we need to cut global emissions in half. But we don’t use them. This project has the potential to make sure those instruments are applied.
